Maverick Wraps Their Talents Around Baskin-Robbins Delivery Trucks

Baskin-Robbins came to Maverick with a sweet ask – refresh the wrap design for their national delivery trucks. The BR team wanted three different designs/sizes that emulated their newer branding approach but still felt familiar and recognizable as being Baskin-Robbins. The Mavericks were, as usual, ready to seize the yay!

Like having a 3 Scoop Sundae placed in front of you, Maverick was ready to dig in. For the initial concepting phase, Maverick assembled a team to design concepts for three categories: scoop-centric, heavily branded, and abstract/eccentric.

The Maverick team’s biggest challenge was making sure that the artwork was up to specifications for the three different truck sizes. Ensuring the photography was the right resolution was imperative for a successful outcome for what is essentially rolling ice cream billboards. It was a fun ask to take ice cream scoops and Baskin-Robbins' fun brand elements and make them larger than life-size. People all over the country will see these trucks driving by, causing cravings for Baskin-Robbins ice cream!

Some chances were taken on the work presented, and we garnered the client’s trust to create something that we hadn’t done for BR before. The work highlights the bold scale of design choices and how we were able to collaborate to create sweet success for both Maverick and the Baskin-Robbins team.
