Double the Flavor, Double the Lift: Maverick solves a multi-channel showdown in record time

Launching one new sauce is an easy lift. Launching two distinct sauces at the same time, each meant for different guest occasions, required a more thoughtful creative system.

Buffalo Wild Wings introduced BBQ Ranch and Buffalo Bleu—the first built for an in-restaurant flavor experience, and the other positioned for takeout and delivery through Buffalo Wild Wings GO. Maverick Studios was tasked with making both standalone flavor profiles feel equally craveable and unmistakably Buffalo Wild Wings, while maintaining a unified brand story across every channel.

Maverick kicked things off by building a flexible visual and messaging framework that made room for both. On social, the team developed vibrant, motion-forward assets that emphasized appetite appeal and flavor distinction and increased audience engagement. In email, Maverick introduced interactive flavor polls—turning the dual-sauce release into a moment of playful choice and engagement that drove click-throughs and purchases. Behind the scenes, constraints shaped the craft. ADA requirements, strict color limitations, and the complexity of communicating two LTO offerings meant every layout, animation, and line of copy required precision. The system had to work on-premises, off-premises, and everywhere a guest might encounter the brand.

The result was a clear, cohesive and crave-forward suite of assets that performed strongly throughout the window, making each LTO sauce release a resounding success for Buffalo Wild Wings. For the Maverick team, it became a standout demonstration of cross-disciplinary collaboration—design, copy, and motion working in lockstep to turn a layered brief into effortlessly engaging assets. In the end, the project reaffirms Maverick's approach to creating best-in-class work that's worth the audience’s attention (and appetite). And like any good sauce, this one lingered for good.
