A New Chapter: Maverick X SONIC® PR Give Back to the Community with Little Free Libraries
SONIC® PR teamed up with Maverick Studios in collaboration with Little Free Library, a non-profit organization dedicated to extending book access across the globe, to install 40 SONIC-branded Little Free Libraries within multiple communities. Maverick joined the team to design these libraries and offer creative support as well as photography of the final Atlanta installment.
Our designers tapped into their inner child to develop fun, literacy-focused, playful concepts that would appeal to the younger audience, while balancing the new Live Free Eat SONIC and SONIC Limeades for Learning branding. The illustrated panels incorporated vibrant energy and thoughtful composition — from the expressive character and book-filled background to the subtle nods to SONIC products like burgers and drinks. The playful, kid-friendly art style made the library feel inviting and imaginative, while the custom photography helped capture the joy and real-world impact of the installation.
This project stood out from the rest as it combined creativity with community impact in a tangible way. Bringing the SONIC brand to life in a real-world setting that supported childhood literacy made it so special to everyone involved.
